How to Manage the Use of Your Personal Information
This guide explains the ways DiscoverTMJ.com, TheMannaJourney.com, and the TMJ app (collectively, the “Service”) provide UK and EEA users with meaningful controls over how their personal information is collected, used, and shared. DiscoverTMJ.com is also known as The Manna Journey. This guide applies to all users and subscribers of the Service, operated by COVENANT ADVISORY CIC, registered in England.
We may update this guide periodically to reflect legal or policy changes. Please check back regularly.
1. Member Controls
If you have an account and are logged into the Service, you can manage certain privacy settings and communication preferences through your account dashboard.
a. Advertising Preferences
DiscoverTMJ.com does not currently serve third-party advertisements or engage in behavioural advertising. If this changes in the future, you will be notified and provided options to:

Opt out of behavioural advertising (ads based on activity across websites or apps)

Opt out of demographic-based targeting (ads based on age, gender, etc.)
These controls will appear under “Privacy and Data Settings” in your account profile. You may still see service-related messages (e.g., TMJ updates), but these will not be personalised based on advertising data.
b. Matched Identifier Communications
If you opt in, DiscoverTMJ.com may use de-identified contact data (such as hashed email addresses) to deliver updates via platforms like Facebook or Google.
To opt out, use the “Matched Identifier Communications” toggle in your profile’s privacy settings.
c. Device Authorisation
We use information like IP addresses, device IDs, and login behaviour to secure your account.
To unauthorise a device:

Or use “Sign out of all devices” in your Account settings
2. Controls Outside Your TMJ Account
Even if you're not signed in or don’t have an account, you can still manage some data controls using browser, app, or device-level settings.
a. Cookies
We use essential and analytics cookies to improve functionality. For more control:

b. Resettable Device Identifiers
On mobile devices or smart TVs, we may use device identifiers (e.g., Apple IDFA, Google Ad ID) for internal analytics or future personalisation.
To opt out:

c. Third-Party Advertising Platforms
Should DiscoverTMJ.com begin participating in behavioural ad programmes in the future, you will be able to manage your ad preferences through:

3. Communications Preferences
You can control how we contact you:
a. Emails
Manage your email preferences through your TMJ profile under Notification Settings, or unsubscribe via any marketing email footer.
Transactional emails (e.g., password resets) will continue to be sent as required.
b. Text Messages (SMS)
To stop receiving SMS notifications:

Go to your Account section

Navigate to Membership & Billing → Change phone number

Or, under Security, remove your phone number
Password reset SMS will still work when initiated by you.
c. Push Notifications
To disable push notifications for the TMJ app:

4. Your Legal Rights
Under the UK GDPR and relevant EEA regulations, you have the right to:
